Princess Mary Joins Camilla Parker-Bowles For a Set Visit to The Killing
Princess Mary accompanied Camilla Parker-Bowles to the set of The Killing in Lynge, Denmark yesterday. The Killing, also known as Forbrydelsen, is a Danish crime TV series and apparently one of Camilla’s favourite shows; in fact the Duchess of Cornwall put in a special request to drop by the set. She was given a tour by the show’s star, Sofie Gråbøl, who plays detective Sarah Lund, and was even gifted with one of the character’s signature jumpers. Camilla also had a turn holding one of the prop guns, with Mary pretending to duck for cover. Camilla and Mary were given a sneak peek at the third season, but the duchess knows better than to reveal any spoilers, saying, “My lips are sealed.” She and Prince Charles have spent the past week on a Scandinavian tour ahead of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. Princess Mary and Prince Frederik have acted as their tour guides for much of the Denmark leg of their trip, which has also included an official dinner, a national memorial and a visit to Denmark’s oldest ice cream shop.
