If you’ve been feeling the absence of MasterChef since the third series ended in early August, you’re probably excited about the return of Junior MasterChef this Sunday night! Last year we fell in love with the young but very talented kids who showcased their cooking skills (and put most of us to shame!) — remember adorable little Sienna, and finalists Jack and Isabella?
When Junior MasterChef kicks off on Sunday, the country’s top 50 junior cooks will face off in a huge challenge at The Dome at Sydney Olympic Park that will determine this year’s top 20. The judges for the series will be George Calombaris, who recently welcomed his first son, Gary Mehigan, Matt Moran, and Anna Gare, who gives the show that extra maternal touch. From the promos we’ve seen so far we know that someone’s oven isn’t working, a girl drops the cake she’s been working on for Prime Minister Julia Gillard . . . in short, we’re expecting quite a few tears as the pressures of the MasterChef kitchen get to the young ones! Will you be tuning in to Junior MasterChef?
Junior MasterChef premieres on Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on Network Ten.
