From Headland to Hollywood: Rachael Taylor's Rising Star
It’s Rachael Taylor’s 29th birthday today! The Aussie actress has come a long way from her start on the small screen, in the Channel Seven drama Headland, and quickly rose the Hollywood ranks when she scored a role in Michael Bay’s Transformers in 2007. Since then, her career has been a mix of blockbusters and indies, but she hasn’t forgotten her roots and has lots of Australian roles on her CV, including Cedar Boys, Red Dog and Any Questions For Ben?, which she appeared in opposite her then-boyfriend Josh Lawson.
From 2011 she’s also been a fixture on American TV screens, with stints on Grey’s Anatomy and the short-lived shows Charlie’s Angels and 666 Park Avenue. Now she’s proven that she’s more than just an in-front-of-camera talent, turning director for a trilogy of rom-com shorts to promote iconic brand Bonds, which she’s an ambassador for.
