Rove and Valerie Bertinelli Team Up for US Talk Show
Rove McManus is trying to crack the US market and is developing a live daily talk show with co-host Valerie Bertinelli. Val has recently had a career resurgence after starring in the hit TV show One Day at a Time as a teen. She signed up as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and has appeared on Oprah and The View talking about her weight loss and marriage to ex Eddie Van Halen. US network CBS is looking to fill a gap in their daytime schedule after long-running soap As the World Turns goes off the air in September. The new chat show is called Say it Now and a pilot episode was shot about a month ago in New York. But the competition is going to be stiff—there are two game shows and a View-like show featuring Julie Chen (who hosts a US morning show and just happens to be the President of CBS’ wife), Leah Remini from the King of Queens, Holly Robinson Peete and Sharon Osbourne also vying to land the coveted timeslot. A decision is expected to be made next month. What do you think of a Rove and Valerie chat show? Tell us below in comments!
