Sandra Bullock Donates US$1 Million to Japan's Relief Efforts

Sandra Bullock has made a massive donation to Japan’s disaster relief following the devastating 9.0 magnitude earthquake that struck last Friday. CNN reports that she sent a US$1 million donation to the American Red Cross, the largest donation from a celebrity (that’s been announced). The Red Cross said, “This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan.” But Sandra’s not the only one using her star power for good — heaps of celebrities have urged their Twitter followers to donate and send their thoughts and prayers to the people of Japan, including Rachel Zoe and Eva Longoria. Visit the Red Cross website for the best way you can lend a helping hand.
