Samuel Johnson Blames Brain-Snap for Bashing Car

Samuel Johnson is in trouble with the law again after smashing the window out of a car in Melbourne last month and then trying to leave the scene. The Secret Life of Us star claims he had a "brain-snap" and says: I was crossing the road and had a near-miss with a car. It scared the wits out of me. I over-reacted in the heat of the moment. The car had stopped. I approached it and smacked the back of the car. I know I damaged the car and I fully expect to get the bill for it.

He reportedly had a heated exchange with the stunned driver and was then approached by police as he left the scene. Sam gave a statement to police, but was not charged over the incident. In 2007 he pleaded guilty to punching a man outside Star City Casino, but was placed on good-behaviour bond , with no conviction recorded. Sam, who has admitted to drug and alcohol addictions in the past, is currently starring in the cop drama Rush.
