Update: Oprah and Her Peeps Hit Hamilton Island!

Update: Oprah and her entrouage are now on Hamilton Island. She flew in at 12:52 (AEST) and was escorted from the plane by a bunch of security guards. She's staying at the Qualia resort and was due to cuddle a koala at a wildlife sanctuary this afternoon (as you do). Tonight she is scheuduled to host a private party with fans. Stay tuned as we stalk Oprah (in a non-creepy way, of course).

It’s the moment we’ve all be waiting for—talk show host and high-priestess Oprah Winfrey has touched down in Australia. Oprah and her entourage arrived via private jet at 10:30am (11:30 AEST). Dozens of fans were waiting at Cairns Airport to catch a glimpse of the talk show guru. (Is she with BFF Gayle? What about Stedman?) Customs officials were expected to board the jet to inspect it while it was refuelling. According to Australian Federal Police, Oprah was expected to stay onboard and then fly to Hamilton Island to begin her Ultimate Down Under Adventure. Welcome to Oz, Oprah!
