Simon to Star in Surfie Film Based on Tim Winton Book

Aussie boy Simon Baker has acquired the film rights to the Tim Winton novel Breath. The book was published in 2008 and is set in a small town in Western Australia. Two reckless 16-year-old boys decide to take up surfing and are mentored by a surf guru named Sando (Baker) and his mysterious American wife. Simon was born in Tasmania and has been surfing since he was a child. No other actors have been cast yet, but Simon Baker with his shirt off is enough get us interested.
