Sydney Unplugged Project Revealed by John Polson, Including Work by Toni Collette, Russell Crowe, Anthony LaPaglia

Bright Aussie Stars Team Up For Sydney Unplugged

The spotlight will be on Sydney as many of our biggest stars jump behind the camera to work on Sydney Unplugged. The project, conceived by Tropfest founder John Polson, will be similar to Paris, je t’aime and New York, I Love You, and will combine the talents of Russell Crowe, Toni Collette, Anthony LaPaglia, and Naomi Watts’ partner Liev Schreiber, who will each direct a short film. Other acclaimed directors have also been lined up, including David Michôd (Animal Kingdom), John Curran (The Painted Veil) and Rachel Ward (Beautiful Kate). John Polson said yesterday, “It’s no secret some hugely talented directors, actors and others either live here or are from here. It’s about time this talent got together to tell stories that showcase one of the world’s most beautiful cities. The people that have stepped up to take part in this project are beyond our wildest dreams.” Sydney Unplugged will be released in 2013.
