2010 Golden Globes: The What-Were-They-Thinking Nomination
Each year, the wacky Hollywood Foreign Press Association throws in a "what were they thinking" Golden Globe nomination (just to make sure we're paying attention, I'm sure). So what is this year's oddball nod? Julia Roberts as best actress in a comedy or muscial for... wait for it... the crime thriller Duplicity.
Now, anyone who's seen Duplicity would know that the role isn't all that comedic. And while we're sure watching Julia pirouette her way through her daily undercover spy activities to a James Bondish beat would be highly entertaining, the role most certainly is not musical either.
It just makes you wonder: who would have been a more appropriate nominee? Did you notice any other unusual noms for the 2010 Golden Globes?
