Talk about a whole collection of Aussie icons coming together! Australian musicians such as Angus and Julia Stone, Sarah Blasko, Daniel Johns, Katie Noonan and more star in a beautiful new video that captures the beauty of the Sydney Opera House from all angles. As they take turns singing Nick Cave’s “The Ship Song,” we’re treated to different areas of the Opera House that we don’t often see — a dance studio, a change room, the stunning forecourt. The Ship Song Project, which was directed by Paul Goldman and took 10 months to shoot, was a collaboration between the Opera House and creative agency Three Drunk Monkeys. According to TDM’s creative director Noah Regan, “This project has been a true labour of love. Throughout the process two things drove everybody involved; their deep love of The House and everything it stands for and a passion for the beautiful Nick Cave song and how fitting it is for this concept. We feel we’ve created something every Australian can be proud of and share and the world can appreciate.” The result is captivating — watch for yourself!
