The Farmer Wants a Wife has been put aside for the moment, but Channel Nine is still in the dating show game with its new offering, When Love Comes to Town, which premieres tonight. Don't be surprised if it reminds you a lot of Farmer, since 12 single city girls are being transported to remote parts of Australia in a giant bus to meet the most eligible bachelors in country towns. While the premise sounds similar, the hosting experience was "completely different" for Natalie Gruzlewski, who told POPSUGAR Australia at the Logies, "I was there every step of the way with the girls. I visited every town with them, I was there for the highs and lows. The whole journey, I was with them, rather than . . . With The Farmer Wants a Wife, I did the introduction and caught up with them at the end to see where the relationship had gone, but with this I'm with them every step of the way."
One of the key differences, at least with the promo stage of the show, is that the focus is on the women, rather than the men. Keep reading to meet the 12 women who left city life behind in the hopes of meeting the man of their dreams in the country.
When Love Comes to Town premieres tonight at 8:30 p.m. on Channel Nine.
