Yoda Was Almost in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Hold the Phone — Yoda Was Almost in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Rarely is there a film, Star Wars or otherwise, that would not benefit from the appearance of the tiny green character we've come to know as Yoda. As it turns out, he was almost in the latest installment, The Force Awakens! The film's editors, Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey, revealed the tidbit to E!'s reporter at an event on Friday. "There was one point where we were actually thinking of having Yoda in the film, and then we decided not to," Brandon said. "Frank Oz came in for a day and did a whole bunch of Yoda and he was over the moon to do it, and we were tickled pink!" Um, excuse me? Perhaps he can appear in Episode VIII as more than a disembodied voice.
