Young Men Society Performance of Beyonce's Single Ladies on The X Factor Australia

YMS Mash Up Beyoncé and Sean Paul For X Factor's No. 1 Hits

Like many viewers of The X Factor, I’ve been a fan of Young Men Society (YMS) since their first audition. Nate, Josh and Andi have impressed the judges and audience with their mix of smooth dance moves and spot-on harmonies (the feedback hasn’t been all positive, with the judges constantly telling them to make sure their vocals don’t suffer as a result of their dancing), and demonstrated just how well they make their talents work together during last night’s mash-up performance of Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” and Sean Paul’s “Get Busy.” The only thing Mel B warned them about doing was Beyoncé’s signature hand-moving choreography — she didn’t want to see it! — but as Josh said, “You can’t do that song and not do it.” The other act who received plenty of praise on the no. 1 hits-themed night was Andrew Wishart, who rocked out to “Dakota” by Stereophonics.
