Zoe Saldana Candid Interview on The Conversation

Zoe Saldana: "I Want to Continue Figuring Out Who the F*ck I Am"

Zoe Saldana doesn't often shy away from opening up about her personal life, and the actress shares her thoughts on love, sex and gender equality in the finale of The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet in the US. In the sit-down interview, Zoe gets frank about feminism and the role it has played in her life since she was young, and touches on subjects like self-confidence and personal growth. She also describes the unbreakable bond she has with her two sisters, shares her favourite sexual position, and reveals what advice she would give her 14-year-old self. Check out her segment on The Conversation's finale and see some of Zoe's inspirational quotes below.

  • On gender equality and believing in herself:"I have a hard time believing that a God that is nothing but love would purposely create a creature inferior to another. It is impossible. I am equal to everything and anything that is around me — therefore, I must deal with it with so much respect and I must get that respect back. I'm not defined by sex; I'm not defined by race; I'm not defined by a nationality — I'm Zoe."
  • On self-confidence and making mistakes: "I know who I am. I love who I am. I like what I do, and I like how I do it. I like my mistakes and I like the pace at which I learn from my mistakes. I don't want to be anybody else but me, and by knowing this, I want to continue figuring out who the f*ck I am."
  • On her favourite sexual position: "For a long time, I was a bit lazy, so I didn't like to be on top. But [now] I'm really digging it. It's phenomenal."
