Abbie Chatfield is everywhere these days. The former Bachelor star has her very own podcast, is making waves on TikTok and also runs her own sex toy business.

With such a busy schedule, we’re surprised she has time to even catch a breath, let alone host her new show Afterparty.

Afterparty sounds like the perfect treat for Love Island fans, as they can get up close and personal with their favourite Islanders and even their mum’s.

But while gossip and drama are entertaining, it can be debilitating for those involved, a feeling Abbie is familiar with.

Speaking to TV WEEK, Abbie said she hopes that her experience as a reality contestant will help her approach the Islanders with sensitivity and compassion.

“I’m so excited to bring a more empathetic perspective to Afterparty,” she told TV WEEK.

“I want to bring some understanding to whoever is the ‘villain’, or to when someone does something that I wouldn’t have done. I think we’re going to bring more perspective to it because I do understand how experiences get heightened in these environments.”

The Bachelor isn’t the only show Abbie has taken part in. The host has previously appeared on Bachelor In Paradise and took home the title of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!

Since then, she’s moved to Sydney and has spent most of the lockdown in isolation.

During her time on The Bachelor, Abbie experienced online bullying, something that she said she wants to discuss on Afterparty.

“It’s near impossible for me not to be like ‘do not troll this person!’ of course I’ll be speaking about trolling, mental health and online interaction of any kind,” she said.

“You know, you can have your gossip but keep it to yourself or the group chat. I think these issues will be brought up a lot and I’m hoping people will listen to me.”

Afterparty is coming soon to Channel 9 and 9Now.
