The After movie series, based on the Harry Styles fan fiction turned novels by Anna Todd, is soon coming to a close (sort of) with the release of “After Ever Happy,” the fourth movie in the series. What Is "After Ever Happy" About?

Though the film may differ from the books, we can definitely predict “After Ever Happy” will see Tessa and Hardin’s caustic relationship come to a head. They’ve had such a tumultuous relationship throughout the series, and it only intensifies.

At the end of “After We Fell,” Hardin finds out that his mom is having an affair with an old flame, who just so happens to be Christian Vance, aka Tessa’s boss and the man married to Kimberly, who’s pregnant with their child. If that’s not enough, Christian reveals he’s Hardin’s real father.

There’s no doubt “After Ever Happy” will see those storylines through. The fourth book in the series also finds Hardin and Tessa becoming parents, so be prepared for that.

Who Is in the "After Ever Happy" Cast?

Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes Tiffin will reprise their roles as Tessa and Hardin, of course. This movie will also likely include Louise Lombard as Trish Daniels, Chance Perdomo as Landon Gibson, Rob Estes as Ken Scott, Frances Turner as Karen Scott, Kiana Madeira as Nora, Stephen Moyer as Christian Vance, and Arielle Kebbel as Kimberly Vance. The third and fourth films were shot back to back, so the cast will stay pretty consistent from “After We Fell” to “After Ever Happy.”

Will "After Ever Happy" Be Available to Stream?

The After series has historically streamed on Netflix, but there’s no confirmed date for when the fourth installment will hit the streamer. The movies typically hit Netflix 90 days after they become available on VOD, and the third movie, “After We Fell,” went to VOD just one month after the movie’s release on Sept. 1, 2021 – ultimately hitting Netflix by mid-January.

Assuming the release schedule for “Ever After Happy” will follow the same timeline, you can expect the movie to hit Netflix in mid-January 2023.
