Ali shared a video of herself crying to an acoustic song, at one point whispering "This is OK," through her tears and giving the thumbs up.
The wellness coach, who became the Bachelorette in 2018 after the end of her relationship with Bachelor in Paradise's Grant Kemp, explained in the caption that she wanted to be raw and honest with her fans about the way she's been feeling so they know they're not alone in experiencing difficult, negative emotions. "You always see happy me," she began the post, before she admitted to crying daily since her breakup with Taite.
"It's bloody slow healing, sadness & hurt fill my whole body," she continued, adding that she has been relying on meditation, yoga, exercise, nature, cooking, family, friends and goal-setting to cope. "I've never experienced anything like this where my soul still feels connected, I still love but know we don't align," she said.
"I want to share this to inspire strength in you, as you do me, because I know you're also going through a break up or you're finding it extremely tough atm in these huge world changes & darkness we're being exposed too." she offered.
"KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE, THAT WE ARE THE LIGHT, YOU ARE LOVED," she said.
She ended the post by assuring her fans that "WE ARE GROWING STRONGER" and learning "our true nature . . . LOVE".
Earlier in the day, she assured her fans, "Just remember you can't have happiness without sadness. Let go, be sad, to be able to heal," she wrote in an Instagram Story.
This morning, she shared another Instagram Story to say thank you and "love you" to fans who have reached out in support. "THANK YOU SO MUCH FROM MY HEART TO YOURS to each & everyone of you who in your own way reached out to me or shared it with someone who needs to see they're not alone & give them strength."
The emotional original video has now been viewed over 150,000 times, with followers praising Ali for her vulnerability and honesty and sharing their own experiences of heartbreak.
Ali and Taite announced their split in July. "It is with the heaviest heart that we want to let everyone know that we have decided to take time apart in order to give each other space and time to fully focus on our own paths," the couple wrote on Instagram. "We both love each other deeply & only want the best for each other & both want the ultimate happiness for each other and hopefully our paths will reconnect again soon."
It's so powerful to see a woman in the public eye be so vulnerable about her mental health, and thereby encourage other women to be so open about their feelings and know their own strength!
