Alicia Keys "Underdog" Performance at the Grammys 2020

Alicia Keys's "Underdog" Performance Raised the Spirits of a Tearful Grammys Audience

No amount of tissues could have prepared me for this year's Grammy Awards. Following emotional tributes to Nipsey Hussle and Kobe and Gianna Bryant, Grammys host Alicia Keys took to the nearest piano to raise the spirits of a tearful audience with an uplifting performance of her new song, "Underdog."

Per her last name, Keys — who performed alongside Brittany Howard on guitar — took to the piano to serenade the audience, all while standing on a platform that ascended off the stage. "If you ever felt like you wasn't gon' make it, this one's for you," Keys said. After Camila Cabello brought her dad to tears with her "First Man" performance and Demi Lovato shared her heartbreaking single "Anyone," Keys's inspirational song seemed to be much appreciated. Watch a sneak peek of her "Underdog" performance above.
