MAFS’ Bryce and Melissa Might Be Getting Their Own Spinoff and Obviously, We’re Intrigued

They may go down as one of the most controversial couples in Married at First Sight history, but Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson achieved exactly what they went on the show to do — meet the love of their life.

The loved-up pair chose to stay together during the final vows, despite all of the drama and negativity that plagued them during the experiment and now live together in Melbourne.

If you thought that after all of that drama and public scrutiny, Melissa and Bryce would love nothing more than to retire from the spotlight and live the rest of their days in blissful privacy… you’d be mistaken it would seem.

In an interview with Woman’s Day, the couple spoke about their plans for the future and what they hope to achieve next.

“We’re actually in talks to have our own reality show,” Bryce told the magazine.

His wife added, “It’d be amazing to showcase why we love each other so much and who we are as people outside of the show because we’re just two normal people, and maybe we weren’t supposed to be together but we’ve overcome all the odds.”

Those odds included persistent rumours that Bryce had a secret girlfriend outside of the experiment and a petition that was circulated by MAFS viewers who found the pair’s dynamic to be triggering.

Nevertheless, the newlyweds are adamant that they are blissfully happy and have every intention of having a proper wedding and starting a family in the next year with Bryce revealing that they are “already trying”.

As for what their reality show would look like, it could be anything from a one-off wedding special, to a more meaty project.

Regardless of which format they end up going with, it’s probably safe to say that fellow MAFS groom Sam Carraro won’t be making any cameos.
