From her first audition, the judges have loved her big voice and bigger performances. Her rendition of Alicia Keys’ “I Got You” blew them away, and she’s only built momentum from there. Everyone praised her raw rendition of “Killing Me Softly with His Song”, and she brought the house down with her cover of Ella Eyre’s “Came Here for Love”.
Ivana is currently in the Top 10, which means that winning “Australian Idol” is within her grasp. But who is the singer behind this music? Here’s everything that we know.
Who Is the “Australian Idol” Hotshot Ivana Ilic?
Ivana Ilic is a 20-year-old singer from Mill Park, NSW. Before signing up for “Australian Idol”, she worked at a burger shop. According to Ivana, being on “Australian Idol” is a dream come true.
“I’ve always wanted to be a part of ‘Australian Idol’,” Ivana said in a statement. “I want people to be able to see the potential I have to become something in the music industry and to be able to finally kick start my career.”
As it stands, Ivana is surprised that she’s in the Top 10. In an Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude to all of her fans.
“I wanna say how extremely grateful I am to be here right now,” Ivana said. “I cannot even comprehend what went down last night, I wanna say a huge thank you to every single person that voted for me, without you I wouldn’t be here, and I cannot even begin to tell you how much that means to me!”
“Australian Idol” 2024 is playing on Channel 7 and 7 Plus. New episodes will be air at 7pm on Sundays and at 7.30pm Mondays and Tuesdays.
