The Australian Survivor: Blood vs Water Trailer is Here and There are a Few Familiar Faces

2022 is promising to be a big year, especially in the reality TV department. Jonathan La Paglia is dropping some major news about next year’s season of Australian Survivor, Blood vs Water, along with a brand new trailer.

Speaking to Who, Jonathan revealed what fans can expect when watching the upcoming instalment.

Survivor has always been an individual game,” he said. “But this season, that’s all about to change.”

The new theme will see people compete in familial pairs alongside their spouses, brothers, sisters, cousins and even feature a mother-daughter duo.

The trailer also confirmed a few contestants who were rumoured to be joining the show, but none could match up to Sandra Diaz-Twine, who has won two seasons of American Survivor. She will compete with her daughter Alanna Twine by her side.

“I’m the queen of Survivor as I’m the first two-time winner ever,” Sandra can be heard saying. “I have a secret weapon – my baby girl Nina. Y’all better look out, because I taught her well.”

Also featured in the trailer is Mark Wales, an Australian Survivor alum who went on to tie the knot with his season four co-star, Samantha Gash.

“Playing Survivor with your spouse is a very dangerous idea. But the good thing is, if one of us wins, we both win,” he can be heard saying.

The teaser then goes on to show the remaining teams discuss how stressful it is to know one of their own could be voted out, and feeling stuck deciding whether they should remain loyal or focus on winning the competition.

“Will blood prove to be thicker than water? Or will the deepest bonds be broken?” Jonathan can be heard asking.

While we haven’t been told a premiere date just yet, we’re expecting it to air early next year.
