Bachelor in Paradise is likely just weeks away! While we don't have a confirmed start date or cast yet, if past seasons are to go by, we should be getting our heads firmly in a Fiji kind of mood. We're extremely keen to see all these former Bachie contestants on a more even playing field, vying for more than just one man or woman. There's just something about giving all of these people the power of red roses — and the freedom to flirt and then some — that gives us some of the best love stories, and the most drama. And that's what reality TV is for: partner-swapping and burgeoning romance.
Here's what we know about Bachelor in Paradise 2020:
Who are the cast of Bachelor in Paradise season three?
Network Ten's Head of Programming, Daniel Monaghan, promised TV Tonight in January a season of fan faves. He acknowledged that some had been papped or named by the tabloids, but that they were "a good cast from Angie and Matt's seasons and quite a handful of favourites from previous seasons".
Here's a list of the confirmed and rumoured Bachelor in Paradise cast so far, including the first five contestants, Abbie Chatfield, Jamie Doran, Timm Hanly, Brittany Hockley and Ciarran Stott. And, of course, we'll see the return of our beloved host, Osher Günsberg.
When and where was Bachelor in Paradise season three filmed?
Bachelor in Paradise filmed at Mango Bay Resort Fiji in November and December.
When will Bachelor in Paradise season three air?
Monaghan told TV Tonight in January that the show would ideally kick off "before Easter", but deliberately after Married at First Sight wrapped up, in early April. "We'll be clear of each other and there's no point splitting the audience," he said.
In late March, Network 10 told TV Tonight that the series had been pushed back in the schedule: "Do not panic. You will still get to see your favourite bachelorettes and bachelors when they return to paradise for romance, scandal, betrayal and — for three couples — true love. Bachelor in Paradise has wrapped production and will air in the coming months."
If Paradise has the same schedule as last year, we can expect to watch Bachelor in Paradise Tuesday to Thursday on Channel 10.
Do any of the Bachelor in Paradise season three couples stay together?
Talking to the TV Blackbox podcast in December 2019, care of Daily Mail, Monaghan said that it had been a "stellar season" of Bachelor in Paradise. "We're really comfortable with how that's landed and the love that's come out of it, at the end," he said. "You know, we love the drama, but to have love at the end of it as well is really refreshing."
Sounds like some of the couples might still still be an item! The first promo for the season promises three couples find love. And here's two of the rumoured couples: Ciarran and Kiki were spotted shopping together in November, then holding hands in December by the Daily Mail, while 9Honey has receipts for Keira and Alex posting matching pictures to Instagram from Byron Bay. Are they still together? We'll soon find out.
