Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez Serenade Their Guests at Their Star-Studded Christmas Party
It’s a very merry Christmas in the Affleck-Lopez household! Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez kicked off their holiday celebrations with a star-studded Christmas party on Saturday, Dec. 17. In videos shared on Instagram, the newlyweds take part in some festive karaoke with musician Steve Mackey on the piano. In one video posted online, J Lo led the crowd in a spirited rendition of “Jingle Bells.” In another, Affleck soulfully belted out John Legend‘s “By Christmas Eve” in one video, with Lopez joining in. Another clip showed the couple hugging while their guests cheered. Lopez and Mackey also sang “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” together in one video.
According to ET, the exclusive guest list at their Hollywood home included celebrities from Kim Kardashian to Doja Cat, Eric André, and Billie Eilish. Jane Fonda was also spotted in videos from the night shared by partygoers on social media.
The couple’s house was decked out for Christmas with tons of lights, and there was even a gingerbread replica of their house. Food and drink included a pizza station, a hot-chocolate station, and an outdoor bar. One of their guests, Cameron Lee – who’s worked as one of J Lo’s dancers – shared a selfie with the couple at the end of the night.
This Christmas marks Lopez and Affleck’s first together since they wed this summer. They tied the knot in July in a small ceremony in Las Vegas before holding a lavish wedding in Georgia with all their friends and family present. It’s not clear yet where their blended family will spend the holidays. Affleck shares Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez shares twins Emme and Maximilian, 14, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
Lopez talked about her decision to add Affleck to her name in an interview for Vogue‘s December cover. “People are still going to call me Jennifer Lopez. But my legal name will be Mrs. Affleck because we’re joined together. We’re husband and wife. I’m proud of that. I don’t think that’s a problem,” she said. She added later in the same interview, “But if you want to know how I feel about it, I just feel like it’s romantic. It still carries tradition and romance to me, and maybe I’m just that kind of girl.”
