This Is How You Pose With Your Oscars Trophies After Making History at the Award Show

Hello class, and welcome to How to Pose With Your Oscar(s) 101. Today’s lesson will revolve around the one and only Bong Joon-ho. In case you didn’t do your homework and tune into the Academy Awards Sunday night, the Parasite director totally owned the show by nabbing the awards for best original screenplay, international film, director, and picture, resulting in quite the stunning collection of trophies. Bong, being the relatable, wholesome icon he is, celebrated his history-making wins by – what else? – proudly striking some poses with his shiny new desk decor.

These weren’t just any ol’ “Look-Ma-I-Won-an-Oscar!” poses though. Some stars simply flash a smile, lackadaisically hold their golden statue in one hand, wait for the cameras to snap, and go on their merry way to live it up at an afterparty. But Bong? He turned his post-show photo session into a full-fledged production, making two of his Oscars smooch like Barbie dolls, using one to mimic a microphone (or perhaps a champagne bottle?), and taking a slew of other pictures that can only be described as legendary.

Per the How to Pose With Your Oscar(s) 101 class syllabus, please admire all the photos of Bong showing off his Oscars ahead. Any students who can name a more iconic pair than Bong and his beloved Oscar awards will be eligible for extra credit – though we don’t anticipate that happening.
