Married At First Sight is only a few days away and the countdown is on. The show, which has catapulted to success because of its controversial subject matter is set to return on January 31 and it’s time to get to know the brides and grooms.

We’ve been given a sneak-peek into 33-year-old Brent and his unconventional phobia. The hospitality manager from New South Wales has been spending most of his time in Dubai, running businesses and events. But sadly, after losing everything he had built and worked so hard for, he was forced to return to Australia.

The entire ordeal took a hard knock on his confidence but he refused to let it stop him from living his life. So, in an effort to rebuild, he decided to take a crack at Married At First Sight, in the hopes he would find the love of his life.

In his own words, what’s the point of success if you have no one to share it with? Brent cannot stand pretentious people. He’s looking for someone genuine, non-judgemental and sensitive — oh, and she needs to have nice feet.

While it may seem a bit superficial to some, Brent suffers from a foot phobia, which means his bride needs to be perfectly pedicured otherwise the relationship is off.

Here’s to hoping Brent finds the one he’s looking for.

Married At First Sight premieres on January 31 on Channel 9 and 9Now.
