It’s Britney B*tch and She’s Engaged, to Boyfriend Sam Asghari
Wow, this really is the year of Britney Spears taking her life back and we’re so glad to be along for the ride.
Brit took to Instagram this morning to share a reel of her and long-time boyfriend Sam Asghari, flashing her ring in disbelief and happiness.
Captioned “I can’t f*cking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣!!!!!!”, the video shows Britney posing with her ring, with Asghari by her side; where he has been for the past 5 years.
According to Page Six, rumours that the pair would be getting engaged soon began earlier this month, after Asghari was spotted ring shopping at Cartier in Beverly Hills.
Britney has had a big year, coming to terms with and opening up about the “emotional and physical abuse” she’s endured throughout the course of her 13-year conservatorship, which has finally resulted in her father, Jamie Spears, removing himself as the conservator of Britney’s estate.
Britney is well on the way to a life of freedom, independence and the girl power she has relentlessly given so many of us throughout her iconic career. Becoming engaged to Asghari, is one step closer to living her best life, without restriction.
Sam Asghari has been by Britney’s side for five years as the perfect handsome sidekick to her beach adventures, hikes and at-home dance parties and has stood by her through the difficult past few months.
He has publicly stood up for her on social media, and hasn’t been shy when it comes to talking about Brit’s father, who he says is constantly “trying to control our relationship and throw obstacles in our way”.
Well, not anymore.
This engagement comes just weeks after Jamie Spears has stepped down as the big dog pulling the strings on Brit’s conservatorship, thanks to the relentless legal magic of Mathew Rosengart, her own courage to open up about the trauma she has endured for the past 13 years and her fans, who started the #FreeBritney movement back in 2019.
Personally, I can’t wait to see Brit in a wedding dress. She finally gets to be the princess of her own story and we couldn’t be happier for her.
