Brittney Weldon Learned How Strong She Is As a Person From Bachelor in Paradise
Fan favourite Brittney Weldon left Bachelor in Paradise on Wednesday with Jackson Garlick, when the couple decided that it was too early in their relationship to bring their families to Fiji, but that they wanted to try dating in the real world.
Both Brittney and Jackson released statements overnight saying that their relationship had ended, with the pair living in separate states and unable to pursue a long distance connection. "Unfortunately, life got in the way and we are now just friends," Brittney said.
Brittney's Paradise journey was emotional and rocky, with some fearing a repeat of last year, where Ivan Krslovic dropped Brittney for Tenille Favios, in Jamie and Brittney's exchange of "friendship roses". This year, despite some meddling by Cass Mamone, Brittney was at least able to pursue her fun-loving connection with Jackson, the pair sharing a similar positive outlook and sense of humour.
Brittney talked to us about what happened between her and Jackson when they got home, and what she thinks of calls for her to be the next Bachelorette.
