“I Know the Real Bryce”: Married At First Sight’s Melissa Details Future Relationship Plans

Le sigh. Married at First Sight’s Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson have confirmed that not only are they still together but they have “discussed” getting “real” married.

Appearing on KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O show on Wednesday, March 31, Rawson confirmed that she and her on-screen husband had talked about “making it official” and starting a family.

“That’s the plan,” Ruthven added, saying that the pair wanted “a normal family life” after the hype around the show dies down.

In case you were excited by this news, the former radio announcer (who used to work with Kyle and Jackie O’s Australian Radio Network colleagues, Amanda Keller and Brendan Jones), confirmed that he had not yet proposed. Oh. But he had found an engagement ring. Cool.

“[I’m] just waiting for the right time. I’ve got some big grand plan that doesn’t involve Channel Nine,” he added.

Ruthven has received criticism for his “gaslighting” behaviour and for the way he wrote “leave” before crossing it out and writing “stay” in the most recent commitment ceremony, however, Rawson defended him when The Daily Mail caught up with them at the airport in Sydney.

“I know the real Bryce. What everyone is seeing is a great edit — I’ll say that,” she said.

Ruthven and Rawson are in the city to appear at Fitzy and Wippa’s Married at First Sight Dinner Party on Wednesday night.
