Celebrities Read Texts From Their Mums on Jimmy Kimmel, and All I Can Say Is "Same"

If you thought you were the only one to ever get a text from your mum that made absolutely no sense, think again. On Thursday, as part of a Mother's Day tribute on Jimmy Kimmel Live, various celebrities read real texts they've received from their mums, and it went just about as well as you would think.

Emily Blunt and Elle Fanning's mum's texts were novel-length while Gwyneth Paltrow's mum, Blythe Danner, was guilty of the multitext answer-her-own-question response. Meanwhile, Ben Schwartz's mum responded to a family group chat versus talking to her son directly and Will Arnett's mum over-explained how technology works ("I forgot that you could utilise the pause button . . . "). Other celebrities included were Lakeith Stanfield, January Jones, Aidy Bryant, Don Lemon, and Renée Zellweger. Watch the full clip above for a laugh and a reminder that your own mum might be sending you a text soon.
