Country Ever After: The Latest Update on Criscilla Anderson's Health Status in 2020
How is Criscilla Anderson doing these days? Netflix’s upcoming docuseries Country Ever After (previously titled Country-ish) promises to answer that question, following the hip-hop dancer and her husband, country star Coffey Anderson, through the highs and lows of their life, including Criscilla’s battle with stage 4 colon cancer. The show promises a realistic look at her cancer fight, which isn’t surprising, given how open she has been about the real struggles ever since her diagnosis in 2018.
In an April Instagram post, Anderson shared good news: her tumors have been shrinking, some down to under 5 mm in size. “I know that God has healed me. I know this is my miracle from God. I have received my healing from Him. I will be here to watch my babies grow up and I will be here to grow old with my husband. I’m going to keep doing everything that God has put in my path to stay healthy,” she said in the video.
Back in 2019, when her cancer reached a stage 4 metastatic diagnosis, she told People that she had hopes for complete remission. “My ultimate goal is to be in remission and have it not be chronic but be in a situation where it can be completely healed. The ideal, if that cannot happen, would be to keep it maintained and have it not spread any further for the rest of my life.” At the time, according to People, she had three months of chemotherapy ahead of her in hopes of treating the disease.
More recently, however, she’s put a stop to the typical medical treatments and been trying more natural and experimental treatments. “I’m holding off on chemo at the moment and letting the natural stuff do its work,” she told People in May 2020. “I’m staying diligent with my supplements and my diet and just letting God work his miracle on me.” Anderson continues to post updates on social media from time to time, along with her usual posts about her family and friends.
Country Ever After was originally set to premiere on Netflix in September but will now be debuting on Nov. 6.
