“Love Island”‘s Ekin-Su and Davide Tease Their Reconciliation With Birthday Meal

It was only in June when “Love Island” fans had their hearts broken following the news of Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti’s breakup. Davide confirmed on 29 June via an Instagram Story that he and his villa co-star had split 11 months after they won the ITV dating show.

But it seems that the pair have teased their reconciliation, as the BoohooMAN ambassador appeared to head to Bodrum, Turkey, to celebrate Ekin-Su’s birthday on 21 August.

In a soft re-launch post on his Instagram Story of his ex holding up a glass of bubbly with a chocolate cake, Davide wrote: “Despite all the storms, I wanted to make this day special for you…Enjoy the moment, make a wish, and blow hard☺️ Happy birthday @ekinsuofficial”. The BPerfect Cosmetics ambassador then re-posted the picture of herself to her own Instagram Story.

In Davide’s previous Instagram Story, he shared a video at the five-star Lujo Bodrum hotel. In the clip, he shared a running bath on the balcony of the stunning resort, writing: “Pit stop”. He then appeared to share a photo of him at the same dinner table as Ekin-Su. Representatives for both Ekin-Su and Davide did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.

The pair seemingly had an on-again-off-again relationship in the villa, but were nonetheless crowned the winners of “Love Island” 2022. Then, in August 2022, Ekin-Su revealed the couple had plans to move in together that September.

Speaking to POPSUGAR about their relationship in October 2022, Ekin-Su said: “It’s the little things, like when I’m asleep, he tucks me in bed or just makes sure I have my paracetamol there for me. It’s so sweet of him. And I wish people could see more of that but I’m the one living it, and a relationship should be private I think.” The pair also appeared in their own ITV series, “Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings”, where they both visited their home countries of Italy and Turkey, as well as meeting each other’s families.

Could the couple be re-joining the likes of Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury in successful “Love Island” relationships? Time will tell.
