“I’m Completely Heartbroken”: Farmer Wants a Wife’s Leish Confirms Split from Farmer Ben

Farmer Wants A Wife seems like a fairly wholesome show, and for the most part, it is. It’s one of the few dating reality shows that results in long-lasting relationships, marriages and even babies.

However, while it’s nowhere near as spicy as Married At First Sight, the show does come with its own set of drama.

For one, there was the whole Hayley Love and Farmer Will incident last year (ICYMI, Hayley, who was originally competing for Farmer Matt’s affection, revealed she was pregnant with Farmer Will’s child), and then this year, Farmer Paige and Farmer Benjamin walked off the show before the season even came to a close.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows out in the country; a lot of the time, it can be a pile of horse s**t.

Now, just days after the reunion episode aired, a couple from this year’s season has already called it quits.

Leish, who was matched with Farmer Ben, announced the breakup on her Instagram, writing: “I am completely heartbroken to announce that sadly Ben and I have parted ways.”

“I tried everything I could to make our relationship last after the show (including wanting to move to the farm earlier, YES everyone I was always planning on moving) but unfortunately it wasn’t there for Ben anymore and I was left absolutely shocked and heartbroken.”

“I gave it my all and fell in love with ben, his daughter and family (which hurts a little bit extra).”

“I am thankful for the support I have had these past few months from the other girls on bens farm and the other farms. They have been true selfless legends in helping me heal. I wish Ben all the best.”

Ben is yet to comment on the split.

Appearing on the reunion special just days before Leish made the announcement, Ben said the pair have been in a long-distance relationship since the show finished filming.

“I’ve done a couple of trips to Brisbane and Leish has spent some time on the farm as well,” he said.
