Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have been together for nearly seven years. The couple first met in 2016 when the soccer star walked into the Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriguez was working at the time. In a March interview with “El Hormiguero” (via Daily Mail), the 29-year-old model revealed that it was “love at first sight” for her. She added, “When I saw him, he was so handsome I felt embarrassed to look at him.”
Throughout their relationship, Rodriguez and Ronaldo have had countless red-carpet date nights, traveled the world, and built a family together. And now that Rodriguez has her “I Am Georgina” Netflix show, we’re learning even more about their relationship.
Rodriguez seemingly addressed the marriage speculation surrounding her and the 38-year-old athlete during the season two finale of her reality show, saying they “are married in the eyes of God” and “that’s all that matters” to her. However, she says, one day “a ceremony will follow.”

Late 2016: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Begin Dating
Following his split from Irina Shayk in 2015, Ronaldo moved on with Rodriguez a year later. Though it’s unclear exactly when they started dating, the couple first crossed paths when the soccer star walked into the Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodriguez was working as a sales associate at the time. “He’s such a handsome man. When I saw him, he was so handsome I felt embarrassed to look at him,” Rodriguez said during her March appearance on “El Hormiguero.”
She recalled, “I was finally able to leave the shop to go home three hours later than I should have and as I was getting ready to leave Cristiano came in with his eldest son and some friends. Let’s just say it was butterflies in my stomach.”
Rodriguez seemed to hint at their blossoming romance on Instagram, posting photos of herself and a man hugging, though fans could only see his back and she didn’t tag him.

July 2017: Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez Announce They're Expecting Their Fourth Child
Weeks later, Ronaldo confirmed to El Mundo (via People) that Rodriguez was pregnant. When asked if he was excited about the baby, Ronaldo said, “Yes, very.”
Rodriguez later confirmed the pregnancy herself with a photo shoot in ¡HOLA!, proudly displaying her baby bump.

Rodriguez and Ronaldo have been at the center of marriage rumors for years, but the model seemingly addressed them in season two of her Netflix show “I Am Georgina.” In the finale episode, Rodriguez says, “I really couldn’t be more married. Cristiano and I are married in the eyes of God, and that’s all that matters to me. He protects us and keeps us together. One day, though, a ceremony will follow.”
