Real Women On What They Actually Thought About *That* Goop Lab Episode
Recently, Netflix released their new series in collaboration with Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand, Goop called The Goop Lab. The six episode series explores topics like psychics, diet and health, energy healing, cold exposure and the Wim Hof method, psychedelics and understanding sexual wellness and female pleasure. A lot of the episodes are pretty far fetched and will have you watching along both equally parts bemused and deeply invested.
But the real key take away from the entire series, and what's got the internet in a bit of a flurry, is episode three. Ep three tackles female pleasure and masturbation with long-time sexologist, Betty Dodson. Dodson, Gwyneth, Goop's Chief content Officer, Elise Loehnen and other Goop staffers explore the female form, connecting with your sexuality, the difference between the vagina and the vulva and how to have an orgasm.
Over the course of 30 minutes we're served slices of facts, opinions and experiences from everyone involved as well as being educated about (and getting a full frontal view of many) different vaginas.
Personally, I found the episode super interesting. It's the kind of open and engaging dialogue I think that we, as women, should be having more of. I'm all for empowering women to own their sexuality and getting to confidently know and love their bodies.
Curious about what other women thought, I asked a variety of women to share their opinions on the episode, and lets just say, if you haven't watched the episode already, these ladies will convince you to give it a go.
