Gwen Stefani's First Wedding Dress Was Dip-Dyed Pink – What Will She Surprise Us With Now?

I’m not going to lie, a part of me wants Gwen Stefani to walk down the aisle to Blake Shelton in cargo pants and cowboy boots. But I’m sure she’ll impress us in something far better than that. The singer has worn the likes of Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, Vera Wang, and Margiela on red carpets past, but her first wedding dress (which she wore in 2002 to marry Gavin Rossdale), was by John Galliano. The designer created her a custom dip-dyed dress in an asymmetrical silhouette with a pink skirt. Gwen brought the color moment full circle with a tiny pink bow pinned to the tulle at the top of her corset – because not all brides wear white.

Of course, Gwen has come a long way in her fashion evolution since then, but we like to think she’ll always pay homage to her punk roots, and maybe add a subtle, tough edge to her bridal look. We’re thinking something along the lines of the “Fashion Icon” train she wore to the 2019 People’s Choice Awards, customized by Vera Wang. Ahead, we’ve gathered some of Gwen’s most striking fashion moments, all of which showcase her range of style. From sequins and tulle to bright colors and sheer panels, Gwen can truly wear anything. Only time will tell if she adds a country twist to her party look. Is anyone else picturing a bejeweled bodysuit and diamond-encrusted cowgirl hat for dancing the night away at the reception?

Sheer Panels Are Always an Option

It’s hard to imagine the confidence it must take to wear sheer panels from head to toe like this, but Gwen pulled it off in Stella McCartney for the world premiere of My Valentine in 2012.
