If you’re someone who likes to take a deep dive into just how much your favourite celebrities are getting paid then strap in because Hamish and Zoe Foster Blake are allegedly receiving an eye-watering amount for their appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox.
After the husband and wife duo were confirmed to appear on the show by Foxtel and Channel 10 last week, everyone only had one question on their mind: Does this mean we get to see inside their $9 million Vaucluse mansion?
The answer to that question is apparently, yes, because the salary that they seem to be receiving from the show isn’t just for their appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox.
According to Woman’s Day, the couple is apparently getting paid a whopping $500,000 for their short stint on the show. But that’s not all. An “insider” told the publication that the couple is planning on starting their own reality show, taking fans inside their family life.
“Australia has been crying out for the Blakes to make their own reality show for years now — and Foxtel has heard this loud and clear,” the industry insider said. “They’re going to use Celebrity Gogglebox as a bit of a trial run for them to see if they could hold a show in their own right.”
It makes sense for executives to be exploring their options when it comes to the pair, as they’re both hugely successful in their own right.
“They’ve got the perfect combination of glamour — seeing inside their $9 million Vaucluse mansion in Sydney would be worth a watch alone — combined with their down-to-earth nature and humour, it would be reality TV gold.”
Whether they get the gig or not, we’re sure the two will do just fine regardless.
Celebrity Gogglebox Australia premieres on Foxtel on March 2 and Channel 10 on March 3.
