The Insecure Cast Went All Out For the Emmys by Taking Over an Entire Football Stadium
Since the Emmys were virtual this year, stars got creative by throwing fun and safe viewing parties with their family and friends. However, the Insecure cast topped everyone else by taking over an entire football stadium. On Monday, the cast and crew celebrated their nomination for outstanding comedy series by throwing a viewing party at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA. Issa Rae, who was also nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, gave a glimpse of the fun on Instagram writing, "#Emmys celebration in Inglewood with the homies. Wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you to @sofistadium and @amprgroup for letting us have the stadium to ourselves!"
Also in attendance were A Black Lady Sketch Show creator Robin Thede, who appeared on Insecure season four, Insecure producer Deniese Davis, and the show's stars Jay Ellis, Jean Elie, Wade Allain-Marcus, Kendrick Sampson, Alexander Hodge, and Christina Elmore. Though Yvonne Orji wasn't able to attend, Issa made sure to take a screenshot of them FaceTiming. Throughout the night, the cast and crew shared glimpses of their viewing party on Instagram. While Issa made sure to get all the right shots of her stunning orange dress, Kendrick captured an incredible video of his costars freaking out over Zendaya's historic win for outstanding lead actress in a drama series.
