Will Big Brother Royalty vs New Contenders Air on the Queen’s Birthday? We Found Out

Channel 7

We’re getting to the pointy end of Big Brother Royalty vs New Contenders, with the competition starting to heat up. This year, the show decided to take on a new format in celebration of Big Brother’s 21st birthday.

For the first time in the franchise’s history, eight former contestants returned to the house for a second shot at the prize. Joining them were 11 New Contenders, who knew the game inside and out (well, some of them anyway).

Farmer Dave Graham, Tully Smyth, Anthony Drew, Estelle Landy and Layla Subritzky returned to the show alongside previous winners Reggie Bird, Tim Dormer and Trevor Butler. However, now that we’re halfway through the competition, only six of the eight remain.

We’ve had intruders, messy relationship scandals and raging meltdowns, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

The addictive reality show is all we’ve been able to think about for the last month, and we’re pretty sure most of Australia is in the same boat.

With the Queen’s birthday coming, we had to ask, will Big Brother air this long weekend?

In normal circumstances, Big Brother Royalty vs New Contenders airs from Monday to Wednesday on Channel 7 and 7Plus. However, things can sometimes be thrown into disarray when public holidays come around.

Thankfully, it will be regularly scheduled programming this coming Monday, and Big Brother will air at 7.30pm. Great news for those of us choosing to have a quiet night in.

Big Brother Royalty Vs New Contenders airs at 7.30pm Monday — Wednesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
