If you’ve ever wondered if the actual Big Brother is just as funny for the housemates as he is for the viewers, we have some very pleasing news.

According to the most recent evicted housemate Mitch Giles, Big Brother is not only extremely witty but it actually his voice that they hear most often.

“The Big Brother that does them [the voiceovers] all on TV is the one that does them in the house,” Mitch revealed to POPSUGAR Australia.

“During the main days with all the challenges, he’s there but not during the late nights or days off. He needs a bit of a break. They’ll have someone else talking to us, but I have no idea who it is.”

While Big Brother is the one setting the rules and challenges, it doesn’t mean he’s not entitled to a bit of fun and one day, during some downtime, the housemates decided to amuse themselves by creating a trivia game.

“He just piped up straight away,” Mitched laughed. “He answered everything. He’s switched on! It would just be random questions about anything and he just knew everything. He’s really smart!”

In 2020, the Daily Mail revealed that the voice of Big Brother was voice artist, Chris Coucouvanis, however, when they contacted him for comment, he denied any involvement.

Is this the real Big Brother?

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph last year, host Sonia Kruger called the robotic voice an “international man of mystery”.

“He is very mischievous, and it’s hard to talk about him as a real person,’ she said, before adding: “He is quite cute… I can tell you that much.”

Big Brother airs Monday to Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
