Is ‘Papa’ Alive? The New Teaser for Stranger Things Season 4 Has Us Questioning Everything
The COVID-19 pandemic is to blame for delaying many of our favourite TV shows and, in the case of Younger, some of them having to go ahead without key characters.
Without a doubt one of the most agonising waits has been in anticipation of the fourth season of Stranger Things and, sadly, there is still no end in sight.
While we still have no idea when the next instalment of the sci-fi series might land on Netflix, we do have some more information about what we can expect when it does finally hit our screens.
In a new teaser for the show, we are given a glimpse into a very drab and depressing facility where children in hospital gowns and sporting shaved heads are playing with various toys.
When Dr Brenner enters the room the children greet him as “Papa” and he tells them he has something special for them, throwing into question his fate after apparently being killed in season one.
Suddenly, we are looking at a locked door with “11” on it, as a voiceover says “Eleven, are you listening?” before it cuts to her eyes snapping open.
Given that Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) left Hawkins with the Bayer family at the end of season three, we have so many questions about where this facility is, how Eleven might have come to be there and, because this is Stranger Things, after all, if the clip is really as it seems or just designed to keep us on our toes.
We’re guessing the latter, but either way, it will be a while yet before we find out for sure.
