Looking for something to do this weekend? Well, the hilarious and talented Jennifer Coolidge is headed down under for Vivid Sydney 2023! That’s right, the “White Lotus” star will be joined by the show’s creator, Mike White, for an exclusive In Conversation event during the festival. It’s set to be one of the biggest events in Vivid’s 13-year history.
The American actress took to Instagram to share the news in a short video.
“Hey Australia, it’s Jennifer Coolidge and I just got really exciting news. Mike White and I are coming to Sydney on June 10 – we’ll see you there!” she announced.
Coolidge has been taking the entertainment world by storm with her quirky portrayal of multi-millionaire Tanya McQuoid in “White Lotus”. She has won over millions of fans, including the folks at TIME100 who named her as one of the World’s Most Influential People for 2023.
The Vivid Sydney festival is an annual celebration of light, music, and ideas. It’s attracted some impressive guests in the past, including Baz Luhrmann, Esther Perel, and Spike Lee. But this year’s guest announcement has been billed as “one of the biggest” in the festival’s history.
Vivid Sydney festival director, Gill Minervini, expressed her excitement for the event. She said it “cements Vivid Sydney 2023 as the biggest and most culturally relevant program yet.” She added that the exclusive ‘In Conversation’ event with Coolidge and White will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look at what has become a cultural zeitgeist.
The event will be held at the Sydney International Convention Centre on June 10, and tickets are already available on Vivid’s official website. The festival will run from May 26 to June 17, and will feature more than 300 events.
