Back in early March, news broke that global superstar Jennifer “JLo” Lopez and her fiancé Alex “ARod” Rodriguez had ended their engagement. However, in a joint statement obtained by People on March 13, the pair stated they were “working through some things.”

Unfortunately, a mere month later, the pair have now officially called it quits saying they are “better as friends”.

“We have realised we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” Lopez and Rodriguez said in a joint statement. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.”

Both the 51-year-old singer and 45-year-old former baseballer have children from previous relationships, who have become a family unit since their parents got together in 2017.

“We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support,” the former A-list couple said.

On April 16, Rodriguez shared a video from inside his home of photographs of his relationship with the superstar.

Back in March, TMZ reported that the couple had ended their two-year engagement, which they had announced in March 2019.
