There’s absolutely no doubt in our minds that the reunion of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck has been exactly what 2021 needs. However, for J.Lo’s ex, it has been anything but exciting.
According to E! News, Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez is “flabbergasted more than anything else”, especially since it was only last month when the A-List couple announced their split.
“A-Rod is shocked that J.Lo has moved on,” a very well-placed source told the outlet.
“He truly thought they would be able to make it work and reconnect. He has been reaching out to J.Lo trying to meet with her and she has been very short with him.” Ouch!
The source also told E! that he was “saddened” and has even reached out to the Love Don’t Cost a Thing singer because he was so upset. The same insider also said that J.Lo was “not interested” in rekindling their romance — which seems pretty accurate since she was already spotted on a romantic getaway with her former bae.
Affleck and Lopez holidayed together in Montana recently after appearing separately at the VAX LIVE concert on May 2. Another source for E! News told the outlet: “They were alone. Just the two of them.”
The couple, who was affectionately called “Bennifer” by the world, dated for two years from 2002 to 2004. They were engaged in November 2002, postponed their wedding in 2003 “due to excessive media attention” and split in January 2004.
