MasterChef judge Jock Zonfrillo and his wife Lauren revealed the birth of their baby Isla on Sunday.
In a post shared to Instagram, Jock wrote that baby Isla Generosa Zonfrillo was born four weeks ago.
"I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face for the last four weeks," he wrote. "[O]ur precious little Isla Generosa Zonfrillo, my fourth kiddo, came into our world.
"I couldn't ask for more — a healthy baby, happy siblings, and a rockstar wife. The Zonfrillo Clan have never been happier :•)
"A huge thank you to Sabrina, Neil and the amazing Epworth Freemason midwives who cared for Loz and Isla during what was a difficult time with all the COVID-19 restrictions."
The post has already received lots of love and congratulations from MasterChef alumni like Laura Sharrad, Khanh Ong, Sarah Tiong and Emelia Jackson, guest judges Kirsten Tibballs and Morgan Hipworth, and his fellow judge Melissa Leong, who described baby Isla as "The cutest new human on the planet. ❤️."
Isla is the baby sister to Lauren and Jock's first child together, Alfie, 2, and Jock's two teenage daughters from his previous marriages, Ava, 19, and Sophia, 14. Jock and marketing director and Gruen panellist Lauren married on New Year's Day in 2017.
The Zonfrillo family relocated to Melbourne from Adelaide earlier this year, with Jock confirming the permanent closure of his award-winning restaurant Orana in October. The restaurant first ceased trading in March in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I always wanted to be a dad. It's a way of life. I couldn't imagine life without kids," Jock told Woman's Day in June.
He added at the time that he enjoyed the experience of having a newborn. "Sure, the first 12 months are hard when there's no verbal communication, but the more kids I had, the more I enjoyed it!
"I'm dad to a range of kids for sure, but I'm already thinking about being a nonno," he continued.
"I'm looking forward to having Ava and Sophia and their kids around the table for a bowl of pasta. I know it might be weird, given I'm not even quite into my mid-40s. But it's definitely something I think about."
Talking to TV Week this month, Jock said again that he "cannot wait" for grandkids. "I think once you become a parent and see that relationship between your child and your parents, you start to think, 'How beautiful would it be if, one day, I can have my grandkids come around.'"
Congratulations Jock and Lauren!
