A Dad-to-Be and Hawthorn Great — What We Know About Celebrity Apprentice’s Josh Gibson

He’s a three-time premiership player and is expecting a baby in September and now, Josh Gibson has joined the cast of Celebrity Apprentice Australia 2021.

Joining the ranks of Michael “Wippa” Wipfli, David Genat, Martha Kalifatidis and The Veronicas to name a few, Josh will be thrust into the competitive world of Team Momentum and Team Fun-Raisers, alongside new recruit, former Miss Universe Australia, Sherri-Lee Biggs.

If you’re not a footy fan, you may not know much about the 36-year-old Gibson, so we thought we’d give you a crash course.

He’s a Famous AFL Player

Gibson is a former professional AFL player who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and Hawthorn Football Club.

One of the greatest defenders of his generation, he was a member of an impressive three premiership teams for Hawthorn in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

In both 2013 and 2015, the footy player was awarded the Peter Crimmins Medal and currently holds the record for the most one-percenters in AFL history.

He’s From Victoria

Gbson, whose father is from Barbados, was born and grew up in Blackburn in Victoria. Although now he lives in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

He’s About to Become a First-Time Dad

In March 2021, Gibson and his girlfriend, Ashley Bright, announced they were expecting a baby boy in September 2021.

“Little Gibbo coming September 2021. Hawks fans will be very happy to know, that scans show a large left! #goldenfist,’’ he captioned a very cute post. “See you in September little man.”

He and Bright first went public with their relationships in December and also have a puppy called Pippa. Cute!

He Is CEO of a Popular Chain of Gyms

A keen fitness man, Josh is Chief Executive Officer for Revl Training and is also an ambassador for Bondi Protein Co, Ringers Western and My Muscle Chef.

Prior to this, he was managing director of BeFit Training in Melbourne.
