Is Kate Bosworth Open to Filming Another Blue Crush Movie?

Dude! Kate Bosworth Would "Love" to Get Back on Board For a Blue Crush Sequel

Kate Bosworth is open to catching another wave. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the actress was asked about her 2002 surf film Blue Crush, which has since amassed quite the cult following, and whether she would be open to continuing the story. "I'd love to do it! I really would. People ask me all the time. I would be so excited to do it," Bosworth said. "That movie is still such an important part of my life and it really gave me a career in many ways."

It was reported in 2017 that a television reboot was in development at NBC, but no additional updates have since been shared. A sequel, Blue Crush 2, was also released in 2011, however, it wasn't formally affiliated with the original film apart from sharing the same name. Bosworth admitted she didn't watch the direct-to-video follow-up, adding, "I'm not even sure I knew it existed." So how about we give Blue Crush the proper sequel it deserves?
