The Duchess of Cambridge Impresses Emma Raducanu With Her Tennis Skills During a Quick Match

The Duchess of Cambridge took time out of her busy back-to-work schedule following the summer holidays for a quick game of tennis with US Open champion Emma Raducanu and to catch up with fellow tennis players.

The duchess met with Emma and fellow British US Open champions, Gordon Reid and Alfie Hewett, who won the men’s wheelchair doubles, as well as and men’s doubles champion Joe Salisbury and took time to chat and celebrate their recent wins. The event was hosted by the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Youth – which is a programme set up to help get children and young adults into tennis and the duchess is a patron for – at their National Tennis Centre in London for The Homecoming.

Besides the duchess celebrating their incredible achievements, the players were also impressed by Kate’s skills in the sport, too. Emma told ITV that she was “very very impressed” with the duchess of Cambridge’s tennis. “Her forehand is incredible. It was a lot of fun to play tennis with the duchess.”

Since winning the US Open earlier this month, Emma has been busy celebrating and attending various events, including the Met Gala and the British Vogue and Tiffany & Co.’s Party For London Fashion Week.
