I can now say that having Katy Perry as a substitute teacher is now one of my life goals, after watching this dream become a reality for 8-year-old Katy Perry megafan Charlotte.
On his breakfast show this morning, BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James organised for Charlotte to be woken up by her mom and her new virtual substitute teacher (and "favourite pop star"), Katy. After getting over the initial shock and excitement, the pair hit it off talking about their favourite songs (Katy's is "Firework"), snacks, and activities. Katy even did a show-and-tell with her adorable dog Nugget, who Charlotte recognised from one of her music videos. The "Daisies" singer wrapped up the "lesson" by recording a special message for all of Charlotte's friends, inviting them to "the world's best slumber party" once lockdown is over.
Honestly, we don't know who was having more fun in the sweet video, and it's well worth a watch.
