It’s been a hot minute since we last sipped champagne with the housewives, and we’re beyond excited to dive into a fresh batch of fabulousness. Krissy and Nicole are leading the charge, along with five newcomers, and boy, are we in for a treat. This season marks the first local instalment since Melbourne’s fifth season in 2021, and after six long years, we’re more than ready for a dose of Sydney’s high-society drama.

The Drama Hits Different This Season of “The Real Housewives of Sydney”

Now, let’s talk drama, shall we? While this revamped version of the show may be focusing more on the “fun and friendship” side of things, don’t think for a second that we’re trading in the drama for a tea party. According to Nicole, the drama is absolutely “very real.”

“There are genuine friendships and relationships, you are really affected by the way someone behaves,” she says.

Krissy agrees, adding: “In Season 1, some of those girls weren’t our friends. So, occasionally when they were throwing champagne or whatever, it didn’t matter.

“Whereas, when they are a genuine friend of yours, or you think they are a genuine friend, and then they start saying something, it does hurt.”

And while the ladies aren’t sure what has been said behind their backs by the other housewives, they are confident in the fact they remained true to themselves.

“I think, both Krissy and I have stayed true to ourselves and we stand up for ourselves. We stand up for what we believe in and I think that’s really important,” Nicole says.

How Does This Season Differ From the Last?

When asked about the differences in this season, Nicole points to a deeper exploration of the housewives’ lives and relationships.

“Well, it brings a lot more relationships. It brings a lot more of our life,” she shares. “I think this season you get a clearer view of who we are and what we stand for. I think the viewers will be able to be a bit more invested in the character.”

Krissy adds a personal touch, highlighting personal growth. “You know, we’ve grown up a lot. The fact that I’m the eldest housewife now. I just don’t give a damn what other people think I am. I am who I am, and I’m not gonna change for anyone.

“I think, you know, maybe in Season 1 I was a little bit more concerned, but you can’t change what anyone else says about you, you can only change how you behave.”

Nicole affirms this sentiment with a nod, stating, “And if you stay true to who you are, it will come through.”
